Hinsdale is conveniently located 21 miles west of Chicago. The Village of Hinsdale covers 4.86 square miles with Route 34 and Route 83 running through it. The village is easily accessible to I-294.

Hinsdale has three stops along the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Metra: West Hinsdale, Hinsdale and Highlands. The Metra will take you into Chicago for business and entertainment.

Two healthcare facilities service Hinsdale residents with many others nearby. Hinsdale Hospital is located at 120 N. Oak Street and Suburban Hospital is at 55th Street and County Line Road.
